Construction is underway on two new medical centers in the Austin area, scheduled to open later in 2019.
Austin and its surrounding communities, including Buda, are among the fastest growing in the United States, creating the need for expanded medical services.
The Austin Oak Hill and Buda medical center sites will both offer inpatient hospital services, as well as primary care and multi-specialty clinics. Patients will benefit from greater care coordination through a single electronic medical record, allowing hospital and clinic caregivers to work together seamlessly and prevent unnecessary tests, reduce wait times, and ultimately improve the patient experience.
“We’re enthusiastic about our mission to create a healthier Texas and look forward to offering residents a unique and integrated health care model,” says Jay Fox, president for the Baylor Scott & White Austin/Round Rock region. “We look forward to delivering safe, high-quality care and service to residents in this vibrant and growing community.”
The future sites will complement existing medical centers in Round Rock, Lakeway, Taylor, Cedar Park, and Pflugerville, as well as more than 30 clinic locations spanning Travis, Williamson, and Hays counties.
